Our VMI and Power Index appears to be up and running as normal. The Power Index will need to adjust to the new players having joined the league and the players that switched teams in the off-season.
Three Point shooting percentages were slightly down for the players who sported a VMI further from zero and teams of players sporting a VMI closer to zero were consistent in their overall 3 point shooting.
The difference between our VMI related Power Index and others, is that the power index will change from day-to-day based on the ADI the team is transitioning into. It is their power and performance from past exposure to those transitions that is being tested and recorded.
The games scheduled for today will certainly be a greater mixture of shooting percentages, but it is going to be fun to watch the new season progress more normally than the past two seasons.
